That is a pretty well-rounded quiver Jason Adams has got there. Always been hyped on Jason’s creativity and uniqueness on the board, which now has translated into his artwork.

ArtDeckO at ArtSlam 2011

Congratulations to ArtDeckO for taking 1st Place Judges Award last night at Realize Bradenton’s ArtSlam 2011. Geza Darrah and crew put together a hell of an event. Here are some words straight from the ArtDeckO Facebook page: “!!!!!ArtDeckO WON 1ST PLACE JUDGES AWARD at ARTSLAM, BRADENTON.. A CITY BUILT OF COLOR AND CULTURE.. IN ONE DAY. Our team took over a block with our spontaneous creation of skateboarding, building ramps, wall ride, halfpipe mixed with live art, graffiti, live bands, Dj, and stencil workshop for all ages painting their own skateboards and t-shirts.. WOW what a success everyone involved and THANKS so much for your participation to make something like this happen in the middle of DOWNTOWN BRADENTON..” I managed to get several photos, while also skating, meeting cool new people, and having a great time. Cheers…looking forward to next year’s ArtSlam. – Nicks.

Introducing ‘Til The Wheels Fall Off

We are pleased to announce the newest feature on No Comply Skateboarding Magazine…‘Til The Wheels Fall Off.

‘Til The Wheels Fall Off is a skateboarding culture project and the brainchild of Jason Stephens. ‘Til The Wheels Fall Off and Jason are going to fit in perfectly here at No Comply, welcome aboard!

“Well, we found a new home here at No Comply Skateboarding Magazine, and things are gonna pick up right where they left off. This page will focus on skate culture type stuff such as bands, hot rods, choppers, tattoos, pinups, as well as skateboarding. We are based out of the Orlando, FL area, but we will also be covering national events, artists and skaters. Feel free to contact Jason Stephens at sickboy1377@yahoo.comwith any ideas you have for us, and any submissions you want to talk about.”

’til the wheels fall off,

 Jason.

To get things started, here’s a classic:

SRQ SK8 JAM

Last Friday, Sk8skool and Ringling College of Art & Design’s Project Management class combined forces to bring us the SRQ SK8 JAM. $5 got you an evening of live music, artist booths, food & drink, and skateboarding. 100% of the proceeds went to Sk8skool to help with operational costs at P(a)yne Skate Park and to the eventual elimination of user-fees at the skate park altogether. I had a prior obligation which, unfortunately, allowed me to only be at this event for a short time. As far as I could tell, there were at least 200 people there, probably more! I did manage to shoot a few photos. – Nicks.

Live Music, Graffiti, DJs...

Jake Ilardi, Backside Air.

Geza Darrah, Over the stairs in the STEEP shallow-end.

Pat Cory, Blunt Fingerflip Fakie with a little help from his friends.

Jake Ilardi, Blunt Kickflip Fakie.

Nate Ilardi, BS 50-50.

Frontside 5-0.

Tyler Hunger, Frontside Flip.
